हमें तारीख तो याद नहीं। पहली बार कोरोना से जान गवां चुके व्यक्ति की बाॅडी यहां आई तो हमको समझ नहीं आया। लोडिंग में शव। परिवार के लोग ही हाथ लगाने को तैयार नहीं। हमको भी पहले ही बोल दिया था कि शव आते ही दाह संस्कार के लिए जाएगा। तब बहुत दुख हुआ, बुरा लगा, कैसे लोग हैं... जो सिर से पैर तक ढंके हुए हैं, लेकिन अपने ही सदस्य के शव को हाथ लगाने को तैयार नहीं। अब तो आदत ही बन गई।
एक घटना तो ऐसी है कि बेटे मां के शव को दूर से देखते रहे, लेकिन घर से किसी का फोन आया तो दौड़ते हुए शव के पास आए। शव का कवर पैर की तरफ से खोला। हमें लगा प्रमाण करने वाला है, लेकिन बेटे ने मां की पायल निकाल ली और दूर चला गया। यह कहना है इंदौर केरामबाग मुक्तिधाम के दिलीप माने, अविनाश करोसिया और गणेश गौड़ का। कोरोना से मरने वालों के शव इसी श्मशान के विद्युत शवदाह में जलाए जा रहे हैं। तीनों के जीवन में क्या बदलाव आया, लोग इन्हें किस तरह देखते हैं और मनोदशा कैसी हो गई इन्हीं की जुबानी सुनिए...
60 दिन से दो जोड़ी कपड़े ही चला रहा हूं
अविनाश करोसिया कहते हैं कि कोरोना के पहले अंतिम संस्कार के वक्त ऐसा डराने वाला माहौल नहीं रहता था। अब तो लोडिंग में शव आता है तो सन्नाटा छा जाता है। परिवार के लोगो को समझाना पड़ता है, उपदेश देते हैं कि अंतिम समय तो कंधा देकर शव को इलेक्ट्रिक शवदाह तक रखवा दो, लेकिन उसमें चार में से कोई एक तैयार होता है। लगभग 60 मामलों में हम यह देख चुके हैं।
कई बार तो हम तीन लोगों को ही परिजन का काम करना होता है। 60 दिन हो गए, दो जोड़ कपड़ों से ही काम चला रहा हूं। पहले तो हमारे परिवार को चिंता हो गई थी। मना करते थे कि कोविड शवों को मत जलाया करो, लेकिन जब उन्हें किस्से बताए तो काफी दुखी हुए। अब उन्हें हम पर नाज है। जाने-अनजाने शवों का अंतिम संस्कार करने का अवसर मिल रहा है।
किसी को तो काम करना है
दिलीप माने कहते हैं कि किसी को तो यह काम करना ही है। कई बार तो ऐसा भी हुआ चार लोग भी पूरे नहीं होते। ऐसे में अरबिंदो अस्पताल का स्टाफ और हमें शव उठाकर रखवाना होता है। दाह संस्कार के वक्त भी परिजन बहुत दूर खड़े हो जाते हैं, लेकिन हमारा दफ्तर तो शवदाह गृह के पास ही है। मुंह पर मास्क लगा होता है, लेकिन धुआं तो फिर भी आता ही है। जाने कितने शवों का अस्थि संचय भी हम ही कर रहे हैं। इन्हें अपना समझकर ही संचय कर रख देते हैं।
जो बना है वह फना होना है
लुनियापुरा कब्रिस्तान में प्रवेश करते ही छोटे कद के उम्रदराज और लंबे बाल, दाढ़ी वाले रफीक शाह बैठे मिले। कोविड से दिवंगत हुए लोगों का पूछा ही था कि तपाक से बोले पड़े... देखो साहब जो बना है वो फना होना है, मौत से किसकी यारी है, आज मेरी तो कल तुम्हारी बारी है। 30 साल से इस कब्रिस्तान में हूं, लेकिन इतनी जल्दी-जल्दी शव आना इन दो महीनों में ही देखा है। ईंट-सीमेंट जोड़कर घर बनाने वालों से अब कब्रें खुदवाना पड़ रही है। मुझे चार घंटे पहले बता दिया जाता है कि कोई शव आना है।
मैं 10 फोन लगाता हूं तब जाकर कब्र खोदने वाले चार लोग मिलते हैं। अब तो इनके नंबर भी याद कर लिए हैं। मैं तो बस कब्र खुदवा देता हूंं। परिजन शव को रख देते हैं तो मिट्टी डलवाकर फूल चढ़वा देता हूं। हां, गर्मी है तो सब कब्रों के पानी का कुंडा भी भर देता हूं। दुआएं मिलती हैं।
