खेल के मैदान पर लोहा मनवा चुके खिलाड़ी कोरोना के खिलाफ जंग में असहाय लोगों का सहारा बने हुए हैं। अंतरराष्ट्रीय खो- खो खिलाड़ी परवीन निशा, किक बॉक्सर आशुतोष झा और जम्मू-कश्मीर के वुशू खिलाड़ी जबीना और कोच फैजल डार जरूरतमंदों को राशन और खाना पहुंचा रहे हैं।
इस जंग में कई ऐसे खिलाड़ी भी आगे आए हैं, जो खुद भी कभी आर्थिक तंगी से जूझ चुके हैं। लेकिन अब लॉकडाउन में दूसरों की मदद कर रहे हैं। दरअसल, भारत में 31 मई तक लॉकडाउन का चौथा फेज लागू हो गया है।
परवीन निशा कोच सुमित भाटिया और अन्य सीनियर खिलाड़ियों के साथ मिलकर अपने सेंटर पर ट्रेनिंग करने वाले जरूरतमंद खिलाड़ियों की मदद कर रही हैं। वे अब तक तीन बार खिलाड़ियों को राशन दे चुकी हैं। पहली बार 16, दूसरी बार 30 और तीसरी बार 15 खिलाड़ियों को राशन का पैकेट दिया। निशा लगातार दोसाउथ एशियन गेम्स में मेडल जीत चुकी हैं। इस साल नेपाल में हुई साउथ एशियन गेम्स में भी उन्होंने गोल्ड जीता था।
खो-खो खिलाड़ी परवीन ने बताया कि वे 7 बहनें और एक भाई हैं। उनके पिता दिल्ली और हरियाणा से सटे बॉर्डर बदरपुर में ही सरकारी स्कूल के पास वेज बिरयानी की रेहड़ी लगाते हैं। परवीनने कहा कि उन्होंने दर्द को महसूस किया है। कई बार उन्हें घर में राशन की भी कमी झेलनी पड़ी। खो-खो के कारण उन्हें एयरपोर्ट अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया में जॉब मिली।
लॉकडाउन के कारण परवीन के सेंटर पर प्रेक्टिस करने वाले कई खिलाड़ियों के घरों में चूल्हा जलना भी मुश्किल हो गया। इनमें से ज्यादातर खिलाड़ियों के पिता या तो रेहड़ी लगाते हैं या दिहाड़ी मजदूर हैं। परवीन, कोच समेत अन्य खिलाड़ी जरूरतमंदों के घर जाकर आटा, दाल, चीनी, तेल, मसाला और चावल जैसी जरूरत की चीजें पहुंचा रहे हैं।
कोलकता के न्यू अलीपुर के रहने वाले अंतरराष्ट्रीय किक बॉक्सर आशुतोष झा मंदिर और बस स्टेंड पर रहने वाले बेसहारा लोगों को रोज खाना खिला रहे हैं। आशुतोष ने बताया कि वे कॉलेज स्टूडेंट है। उनके पिताजी पंडित है। लॉकडाउन में मंदिर के बाहर और बस स्टेंड पर भीख मांगने वाले लोगों को कुछ नहीं मिल पा रहा था।
ऐसे में आशुतोष ने 4 दोस्तों के साथ मिलकर इन लोगों के लिए खाने की व्यवस्था शुरू की है। वह बताते हैं कि इस काम में कई और लोग भी सहयोग कर रहे हैं। वे रोजाना 400 से 500 लोगों को खाना उपलब्ध करवा रहे हैं।
आशुतोष रूस में 2018 में हुए 9वीं डायमंड वर्ल्ड कपमें 79 किलो के लाइट कॉन्टेक्ट और किक में कांस्य पदक जीत चुके हैं। इस साल जून में भी अंतरराष्ट्रीय टूर्नामेंट में खेलने के लिए जाना था, लेकिन लॉकडाउन के कारण टूर्नामेंट रद्द हो गया।
जम्मू-कश्मीर में दूसरे राज्यों से आए मजदूर अब वहीं फंस गए हैं। ऐसे में उनकी मदद के लिए वुशू में अंतरराष्ट्रीय मेडल जीत चुकीं जबीना और कोच फैजल डार समेत अन्य खिलाड़ी सामने आए हैं। फैजल ने बताया कि मार्शल आर्ट के खिलाड़ी और कोच की टीम मजदूरों को जरूरत की चीजें पहुंचा रहे हैं।
लॉकडाउन के कारण काम बंद है। साथ ही ये मजदूर अपने गांव लौट नहीं सकते हैं। ऐसे में मार्शल आर्टफेडरेशनने ऐसे मजदूरों की मदद करने का निर्णय लिया है। अब तक 500 से ज्यादा परिवारों की मदद कर चुके हैं। फैजल बताते हैं कि वे संपन्न और सामाजिक संस्थाओं से चंदा लेते हैं। चंदा से एकत्रित हुए पैसों से मजदूरों को घर-घर जाकर राशन पहुंचा रहे हैं।
