If the US had not delayed the lockdown by two weeks, there would have been 83 percent fewer deaths from Corona.  This has been claimed in Columbia University's study report.

 Researchers studied data on corona patients as of May 3.  According to this, if the government had imposed a lockdown before March 1, there would have been 11 thousand 253 deaths, while 65 thousand 307 deaths.  This means that if the lockdown had been imposed two weeks ago, 54 thousand 54 people could have lost their lives.

 Lockdown a week ago would have saved 36 thousand lives

 Researchers said that more than 36 thousand people could have been saved by putting a lockdown a week early.  The head of the research team, Jeffrey Shaman, said this is a large difference in the number of deaths.  We have to understand the effect of one day delay to prevent infection.  So far 15 lakh 93 thousand 297 cases of corona have been reported in the US, while 94 thousand 948 deaths have occurred.
